This dialog serves following purposes:

  • Connecting and disconnecting to drive
  • Loading and saving settings
  • Clear drive fault state

Connecting

Preparations

In order to establish a connection from PC to drive, ensure that drive is wired properly. Minimum requirements for connection:

  • Argon drive
  • 24VDC logic power applied to drive
  • Drive connected to PC via RS485 interface (such as SimpleMotion V2 USB adapter)
  • Drive address DIP switches configured to give an unique address for drive

Establishing connection

Once all hardware has been connected and powered, use following procedure to connect:

  1. Choose your Communication interface device from dropdown list
  2. Choose Device address that equals to the drive's DIP switch setting
  3. Click Apply to connect

Troubleshooting

  • Check if [drive led blinking sequence] is indicating an error
  • Check address matching
  • Ensure correct interface device has been selected
  • Ensure that bus termination DIP setting has been turned on only on the last drive in the bus
