Differential signaling is a signal integrity enhancement technique in analog and digital signals. Differential signaling addresses several common problems such as:
- Ground offset error and noise
- EMI interference noise
- Signal distortion in high speed signals
Most of the time differential signaling can be also wired to signle-ended hardware without external components.
