Firmware is a program that runs inside a product such as servo drive. Granite Devices products have a firmware upgrade function allowing users to upload a different versions of firmwares inside the products.

VSD-E/XE has has two main operating modes: advanced single axis mode with all features and a DualDC mode that allows driving two independent brush DC servos with single drive.
All firmware files and a upgrading tool are downloadable inside the DCtool & GDflasher package.
