Serial data encoder is an position feedback device that uses any form of serial communication to transfer position data. Typical de-facto stadanrds for such serial protocols include BiSS, SSI, SPI and EnDat. However, most of these standards are loosely defined which makes makes configuration not as straight forward as it could ideally be. This page lists instructions to configure various type of serial data encoders.
