Difference between revisions of "Downloading offline scope capture in Granity"

Granity version 1.12 and later allows downloading capture graphs that were recorded offline (i.e. when drive was not connected to granity). This may be useful when diagnosing a problem that occurs rarely or is hard to reproduce under Granity connection.

Usage:

1. Connect to a drive
2. Setup a desired capture. Configure following values:
   1. Choose a desired trigger source such as Capture on setpoint change or Capture on fault
   2. Choose sample rate TSR
   3. Choose capture signals to be recorded
   4. Untick "Continuously repeating capture"
3. Press Start capture
4. Disconnect from drive and wait the capture to occur
5. Connect back to device. Don't change any capture settings, or restore them to same than in step 2 if changed or software restarted)
6. Press keyboard hotkey Alt+W to download and view the previously recorded offline capture

Notes & limitations

• Offline capture will be preserved only when drive logic power stays on. If device is powered off, no capture will be available for download.
• If no capture is in device memory, or it has been captured with different settings than the ones active in Granity UI, the downloaded graphs may be corrupt/invalid
