IONI drive will generate it's own SimpleMotion address (numeric address value starting from 1 on a multidrop bus) by measuring external resistors connected between ADDRSEL1 and ADDRSEL2 pins vs GND pin. These resistors are placed on motherboards like IONICUBE.
Address generation[edit | edit source]
Final address of IONI drive is calculated by formula
$ Address = DecadeAddres + SingleDigitAddress + SMO $
In above equation SMO is the SimpleMotion bus address offsetSMO adjustable through Granity and it defaults to 0. Values of SingleDigitAddress and DecadeAddress depend on the resistors connected to ADDRSELx pins.
DecadeAddress[edit | edit source]
DecadeAddress depends on resistor between pins ADDRSEL2 and GND by following table:
DecadeAddress | ADDRSEL2 resistor in Ohms (1% tolerance) | Notes |
---|---|---|
0 | open circuit | |
10 | 5600 | |
20 | 2700 | |
30 | 1822 | Can be made by connecting 2700 and 5600 ohm in parallel |
40 | 3900 | |
50 | 7200 | |
Force DFU mode | 11200 | 2x5600 ohm in series |
SingleDigitAddress[edit | edit source]
SingleDigitAddress | ADDRSEL1 resistor in Ohms (1% tolerance) | Notes |
---|---|---|
1 | open circuit | |
2 | 5600 | 5600 |
3 | 2700 | 2700 |
4 | 1822 | Can be made by connecting 2700 and 5600 ohm in parallel |
5 | 3900 | |
6 | 7200 | |
7 | 11200 | 2x5600 ohm in series |
